SEMA Show 2026 Preview: Builders, Debuts & Las Vegas

The biggest week in the automotive aftermarket is almost here. The SEMA Show 2026 opens its doors November 3–6 in Las Vegas, and this year's edition looks set to be one of the most memorable in recent memory. Legendary builders are rolling out never-before-seen creations, global automakers are choosing the show floor for world debuts, and a brand-new Content Creator Corral is making its first appearance.

Whether you follow the scene closely or just love seeing what people can do with four wheels and a big imagination, here's everything worth knowing before the lights go up.

When and Where: SEMA Show 2026 in Las Vegas

The 2026 SEMA Show runs November 3–6 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, centering on new products, industry innovation, and business connections. It remains a trade show first — open to qualified industry professionals all week — but the general public can attend with paid admission on Friday, November 6.

Also returning is SEMA Fest, the Friday-night celebration of car culture and music held on the show campus. And in a fun scheduling quirk, the show opens on Election Day: SEMA is encouraging attendees to make a plan to vote before traveling to Las Vegas.

One genuinely new addition for 2026 is the Content Creator Corral, a dedicated space debuting at this year's show — a sign of how much of modern car culture now lives on cameras, feeds, and screens as well as the shop floor.

Star Builders and Their Unveilings

The heart of SEMA has always been its builders, and 2026 brings some heavy hitters with vehicles that have real stories behind them.

Chip Foose and a Bel Air Resurrected from the Fire

Chip Foose is teaming up with Coulson Autosports to unveil a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air that was rebuilt after the Eaton Fire nearly destroyed it. It's the kind of comeback story that makes a reveal mean something — a classic that refused to die, brought back to life by one of the most respected names in custom design. The car will be on display at the TMI Products booth, and Foose is also scheduled to appear with MagnaFlow during the week.

Kindig-It, Pure Vision, and Rick Dore at Dynamat

The Dynamat booth is stacking up to be a builder showcase in its own right. Dave Kindig and Kevin Schiele of Kindig-It Design will present the shop's 1968 Pontiac Bonneville, while Steve Strope of Pure Vision Design unveils a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette at the same booth. Sharing the spotlight, Rick Dore of Rick Dore Kustoms will present a 1936 Ford roadster. Three shops, three very different visions of American automotive history — all under one roof.

More Debuts Across the Floor

The unveilings don't stop there. TJ Hunt's Aston Martin Vantage GT3 project car and Jason Noel and Fat Fender Garage's custom 1956 Ford F-100 will both appear with Meguiar's, pairing track-bred machinery with classic American truck culture.

Rodger Lee and Ironworks Speed & Custom will unveil a 1978 Mercedes-Benz SEL "Euromod" with SPAL USA — a restomod take on a big-body German luxury sedan, exactly the kind of left-field build that keeps SEMA interesting. And the Ringbrothers will debut a 1965 Pontiac GTO convertible at the Gentex booth, adding to their long list of meticulously crafted showstoppers.

Motorsport Legends and Entertainment Guests

Beyond the sheet metal, SEMA 2026 is loading its schedule with familiar faces from racing and entertainment.

Racing Royalty

Motorsport icons Richard Petty, Mario Andretti, and Ivan "Ironman" Stewart are all scheduled to attend, appearing at vehicle unveilings, autograph sessions, demonstrations, and exhibitor activities. NHRA drivers Clay Millican and Cruz Pedregon, plus Formula Drift Pro racer Dan Burkett, will also be on hand representing drag racing and drifting.

SEMA Vice President of Events Tom Gattuso put the lineup in context: "The SEMA Show brings together the people, products and ideas shaping automotive culture." He added that these appearances highlight the broad reach and creativity of the aftermarket while inspiring the next generation of builders and innovators.

Stars Beyond the Track

The entertainment lineup is equally eclectic. Billy Gibbons, the ZZ Top guitarist whose custom car collection is the stuff of legend, will be at the show, alongside Grammy-winning artist and drifting enthusiast T-Pain. Comedian and Volkswagen enthusiast Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias returns as an exhibitor. Automotive television host Courtney Hansen, SEMA Hall of Famer Jay Leno (whose Garage will host a Rumblebee activation), and host Rutledge Wood — who will take part in a Toyota vehicle walkaround — round out the personalities worth tracking down.

The Big OEM Debuts to Watch

The aftermarket builds get the love, but automakers increasingly treat SEMA as a serious launch stage. Four world debuts are confirmed to headline the 2026 show.

Mitsubishi Returns After 14 Years

The biggest OEM story of the show is Mitsubishi Motors' return to SEMA for the first time since 2012. Six vehicles will occupy the company's stand at Booth 52249 in West Hall, and headlining them all is the world debut of the all-new 2028 Mitsubishi Outlander Diamond Trail Edition — the most capable, adventure-focused Outlander ever offered.

The Diamond Trail Edition advances Mitsubishi's Momentum 2030 plan, which puts adventure and capability at the center of its future lineup. The new trim adds a Rock mode to the Super-All Wheel Control system, with enhanced brake control for quicker traction response, plus automatic Hill Descent Control in rocky terrain. Revised front and rear bumpers improve approach and departure angles, dedicated 18-inch off-road wheels wear all-terrain tires, and a matte-black grille and black Dynamic Shield trim give it a properly rugged face.

Inside, there's water-repellent dark grey seating with khaki stitching, matte and dark-chrome trim details, and a Diamond Trail Edition logo on the seat backs, floor mats, and door trim. A new Trail Green Metallic paint color — available with a contrasting white roof — debuts with the model.

Three Diamond Trail models will be on display, ranging from a stock example with genuine accessories to an extreme concept on 18-inch Method Race Wheels, a 2.5-inch suspension lift, rooftop tent, and accessory light bar. The stand will also feature the Ralliart AXCR Triton rally race truck, the Delica D:5 Ultimate Gear van making its first official US appearance, and the Outlander Sport Trail Edition showcasing factory accessories.

Nissan, Mopar, and Toyota

Joining Mitsubishi in the world-debut column: Nissan's Sentra Spec-V concept, Mopar's 90th-anniversary limited Charger, and Toyota's Crown Signia GT-S concept. A revived Sport-compact badge on the Sentra, a milestone celebration from Mopar's Charger program, and a performance-leaning take on Toyota's flagship crossover — each gives attendees a glimpse of where these brands are heading.

What SEMA Means for Car Culture

It's easy to treat SEMA as a trade show that happens to have cool cars. But the reason it matters — and the reason it keeps growing — is that it sits at the exact intersection of business and passion. The same floor that hosts supplier meetings hosts a Bel Air rescued from a wildfire, a 1936 Ford roadster, and a celebrity autograph line.

As SEMA Trade Show Director Andy Tompkins noted, attendees come to discover new products, inspect standout builds, and form business connections — and the personalities add energy while connecting attendees with the people shaping automotive culture.

The debut of the Content Creator Corral tells the same story from a different angle: car culture now spreads through lenses as much as through lug wrenches, and SEMA is building a home for that too.

The Bottom Line

Four days, one Las Vegas convention center, and a lineup that spans a fire-resurrected '55 Chevy, a 14-year Mitsubishi comeback, and some of the most famous names in racing and music. If there's one week that captures where automotive culture is — and where it's going — it's this one.

We'll be following the biggest reveals as they happen. See you at the show.
